So you’re at work and you notice the Insane Steam Deal-of-the-Day is about to end. You log into Steam via a browser or Valve’s sweet mobile app and you purchase away. Then you think, “I’d like to download this now so I can play when I get home.” Well now you can.
Valve has rolled out an update that allows you to tell your computer to download any game in your library or after you purchase one from any browser or mobile devise. So update your Steam clients and happy downloading from afar.
The folks over at Unity are currently offering free licenses for Unity Android and Unity iOS until April 8, 2012.
This looks like a great deal and I am hoping that many developers and hobbyists pick this up and bring us some more compelling games. The source of this story mentioned that Android/iOS licenses are perpetual but I haven’t been able to confirm this.
It’s been a long time since I had anything to do with the creation of game content in any way but I jumped on this and grabbed Unity Free with the Android License. Now I have something other than catching up on ‘Game of Thrones’ to look forward to tonight when I get home from work.
